 A massive old tree stands proudly right in the middle of our front yard. Dozens of colorful little birds build their small nests high up among its green leaves. During hot summer afternoons, the thick branches provide cool shade for neighborhood kids. Strong winds blow through the neighborhood, causing the heavy limbs to sway back and forth. Local squirrels regularly scamper up the rough bark to hide their nuts inside. This wonderful tree has remained the centerpiece of our garden for decades.
